Rememberance and Reflection Area
On Friday 9th November, the P4-7 Class held a Tea & Toast event to raise money for Poppy Scotland. Lots of families and members of the community joined us for a good chat and a nice bit of toast and jam. Afterwards everyone gathered outside at our new Remembrance and Reflection Area, designed and created by the P4-7 pupils to commemorate 100 years since the Armistice. A service was lead by the class assisted by Rev. Sanders.
Sports Day 2018
We all had a fantastic Sports day in the brilliant sunshine with our friends from Logie Durno School. We enjoyed, track sprinting, sack races, egg n spoon races, relay races as well as Shot Putt, Javelin and Long jump and endurance races! Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to the parents for sorting out snacks and teas.
St Andrew’s Day Parade, Inverurie Lots of pupils took part in the St Andrew’s Day Parade in Inverurie in November wearing their brightly coloured house t-shirts and tartan hats!
Sports Day
Everyone had a fantastic day at School Sports on the 13th June. The sun was shining and everyone gave it their all. There was even a flashmob! The results are here sports results 2017

Spring Fayre
On the 13th May, our Parent Council held their annual Spring Fayre. There was a very busy tea room, lots of excellent crafts on sale a hamper raffle and much much more. A whopping £4100 was raised and the pupils and staff would like to say a huge thank you to the parents for all their hard work and effort, we’re sure the funds will go towards some excellent resources for our pupils.
STEM Event
P7s went along to Aberdeen University for a STEM event hosted by the Scottish Hydrographic Society. They found out what skills and qualifications were needed to be a Hydrographic Surveyor and also looked at what was involved in their work. Miles had a go at the R.O.V race and was the runner up. The group also entered a poster competition before the event and their poster was chosen as the winner!! Well done Primary 7s!!
Lego Robot Workshop
Both classes have enjoyed Lego Robot workshops where they learned to build and programme a Lego Robot which could save goals and all sorts of amazing things!
Run Garioch
We are delighted to say that for the third year running, Chapel of Garioch School has won the trophy for the most runners competing at Run Garioch as a percentage of school roll. This is a fantastic achievement, well done to all the children for getting involved.
